April 3, 1987 — October 29, 2026

Steve Allen Ponder Jr., a cherished husband, father, and friend, passed away peacefully at home on October 29, 2026, surrounded by his brothers in Christ. Born on April 3, 1987, in DeWitt, Arkansas, Steve lived a life full of love, laughter, and dedication to those he held dear. Steve was the beloved son of Steve Allen Ponder Sr. and Linda Zornes, and his warmth was a reflection of the nurturing environment they provided. He was predeceased by his grandparents, Carl Ponder, Gladys Green, Hulon Green, and Harvey Cecil Martin, figures who no doubt shaped his caring nature. His spirit lives on in the hearts of his devoted spouse Pamela Brooke Ponder, with whom he shared 15 wonderful years of marriage, and their two adored daughters, Kailee LeeAnn Ponder and Addalynn Trinity Ponder. Steve also leaves behind his sister Christina Beckwith and her husband Daniel, as well as his parents, Steve Ponder and Linda Zornes, alongside her husband Andy. In recent years, Steve found a special companionship with Cindy Mooneyham and her children, enriching his life with their presence. Steve graduated from Stuttgart High School in 2006 and went on to work as a forklift operator at Mueller, where he was well on his way to becoming a lead person. His dedication to his work was matched only by his commitment to his faith and community. A devoted member of Rouche Valley Church, he was always eager to share his love for Jesus and the impact of his faith on his life. Known for his quick wit and memorable smile, Steve had a unique ability to bring joy to any room he entered. His sense of humor and kind-hearted nature made everyone feel welcome and valued, and his generosity left a lasting impression on all who knew him. Whether he was watching his beloved Dallas Cowboys, enjoying a day of fishing, or indulging in horse racing and wrestling, Steve found joy in the simple pleasures of life. Steve's legacy will be celebrated at a service on November 7, 2026, at 11:00 AM at The Bridge Church, located at 1902 S Main St, Stuttgart, AR. Family and friends, including his close circle of brothers in Christ and the family of D2L, are invited to remember Steve's life and the love he shared with all. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Steve's memory to organizations close to his heart. His life was a testament to the power of love, faith, and friendship, and he will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege to know him.
