Sterling Lamont Pulliam, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on July 2, 2026, at the age of 56 in Tucson, Arizona. Born on March 16, 1970, in Tucson, he was the cherished son of Elnora Ann Charles and James Henry Pulliam, both of whom preceded him in death. Sterling was also predeceased by his sister Denise and brother James (affectionately known as Mann) Pulliam. Sterling's life was a testament to love, laughter, and resilience. On April 29, 2011, he married Rebecca D. Pulliam, his best friend and partner of 15 years. Together, they built a beautiful family, raising children Kyre Austin, Keyera Austin, and Ksaun Austin, as well as Alejandro Rojas, Jose F. Nunez, Leayanna Nunez, and Micheal Nunez. Sterling was a devoted father to his sons Clinton and Rashed Pulliam and stepdaughter Leayanna Nunez. He was also a proud grandfather to eight grandchildren, who brought immense joy and pride to his life. Sterling found his calling in the culinary world, where he worked passionately as a chef and cook. The kitchen was his sanctuary, and he delighted in crafting meals that brought smiles to people's faces. His pride in his work was palpable, and the joy of feeding others was his greatest reward.
