In Loving Memory

Stephon Alias Cattling Jr
January 8, 2026 — May 27, 2026
With profound sadness and tender hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Stephon Alias Cattling Jr, who left us far too soon on May 27, 2026. Born on January 8, 2026, in the warm embrace of Gadsden, Alabama, Stephon spent his brief but impactful time with us surrounded by a family who adored him deeply.
In his short time here, Stephon demonstrated a remarkable ability to bring joy and light to everyone around him. His infectious smile was a beacon of happiness, and his laughter could turn even the darkest day bright. Though he was with us for only a few precious months, Stephon taught us the true meaning of joy and the power of an innocent, loving spirit.
Stephon leaves behind a family that cherished him beyond measure. His loving parents, Stephon Cattling Sr and JaBrayla Boyd, were blessed with his presence and will forever hold the memory of their sweet boy close to their hearts. His sister, MaKenzie Williams, and brother, De’Aaron Williams, cherished him as their beloved baby brother, a bond that will endure in spirit and memory.
Stephon also leaves behind his grandmothers, Brandi Curry and Stephanie Williams, and great-grandmothers, Phyllis Curry and Ethel Campbell, who showered him with love and warmth. His grandfathers, Donald Woods and Jonathan Boyd, along with a host of uncles—Jeffery Lindsey, Justin Cattling, Shaquille Cattling, Donald Cattling, Carl Cattling, Jason Cattling, Donnell Woods, Donnell Woods Jr, and Corey Byers—will remember him as the little light of the family. His loving aunts, Eloise Jones, Phyllis Williams, Kiya Brown, and Sabrina Cole, along with an extended family of relatives and friends, will forever cherish the moments spent with him.
Stephon’s brief journey on this earth has left an indelible mark on all who knew him. Though his time with us was short, the love he gave and received was boundless. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends, a testament to the joy he brought into this world.
As we mourn the loss of our dear Stephon, we also celebrate the gift of his presence in our lives. He taught us to cherish every moment, to smile through tears, and to love without limits. We will carry his spirit with us always, and he will forever be our sweet, shining star.
The family invites all who knew Stephon to join them in celebrating his life and cherishing his memory. Details of the service will be shared with family and friends. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Stephon’s name to a children’s charity of your choice, keeping his spirit of joy and love alive in the world.
Rest in peace, dear Stephon. You will be forever missed and endlessly loved.
