Stephen Rhodes

Stephen Rhodes, born on September 16, 1964, in St. Louis, Missouri, passed away peacefully at home on September 21, 2026, after a valiant and inspiring 20-year battle with cancer. Stephen did not lose his battle; rather, he triumphed over it by living life on his own terms, with grace and courage that inspired all who knew him. Stephen was a man of profound character, well-loved for his humor and his deep involvement in the lives of his family. He was an exceptional husband to his beloved wife, Kim Rhodes, and a devoted father to his daughters, Stephenee Rhodes and Stacee Rhodes. His legacy will continue through his cherished grandchildren—Taija Jones, TaKari Jones, Carter Coursey, and Jaicee Coursey—who brought him immeasurable joy and pride. He was preceded in death by his son, Stephen Rhodes, his parents, Loretta and Stephen Rhodes, and his oldest grandson, Legend Stephen Rhodes, with whom he now shares eternal peace. Stephen is also survived by his twin brother, Steven Rhodes, who shared a bond with Stephen that was both profound and unbreakable. Stephen's life was a testament to the power of humor, resilience, and love. He was an engaged and funny father, leaving behind a legacy of laughter and strength that will forever be cherished by his family. His presence in the lives of those he loved will be deeply missed but fondly remembered. In accordance with Stephen's wishes, a private ceremony will be held to honor his life. The family extends their gratitude for the support and love shown during this difficult time. To honor Stephen's memory, the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, an organization that held a special place in his heart.
