Stephen Golding, a father, grandfather, brother, and friend, peacefully departed this life on April 11, 2026, at the age of 61, surrounded by the love of his family in his Mechanicsville, VA home. Born on September 9, 1964, to Charles Golding and Patricia Baldwin, Stephen was a beacon of light to all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Stephen's journey through life was marked by dedication, resilience, and an unwavering commitment to his family and passions. He was preceded in death by his beloved parents and his brother, David Golding, leaving behind a legacy of love and strength. Stephen is survived by his three children, Mitchel, Madison, and Michael, who were the pride and joy of his life. He also leaves behind two grandchildren, who brought immense happiness and laughter into his days. His siblings, Anita Connell (Cecil), Karen Strubel (Bob), Traci Harig (Rick), Christopher Golding (Brandi) and Marc will forever hold dear the memories of a brother whose kindness knew no bounds. Stephen found his calling as a painter, a profession he embraced wholeheartedly throughout his life. His work was more than just a career; it was a canvas upon which he painted not only walls but also the stories and dreams of those he served. His dedication to his craft was admired by his colleagues and clients alike, leaving a lasting impression that will endure in the spaces he transformed. Beyond his professional achievements, Stephen was an avid jet skier with an undeniable love for the water and the great outdoors.
