Stephen Clovis Beaver
February 18, 1947 — June 7, 2026
Stephen Clovis Beaver, a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully on June 7, 2026, at the age of 79. Born on February 18, 1947, in Teague, Texas, Stephen was the beloved son of Clovis and Johnnie Beaver. His life was a testament to love, service, and kindness, and he will be profoundly missed by all who knew him.
Stephen's early years were shaped by the strong values instilled in him by his parents, Clovis and Johnnie, and his cherished grandparents, William and Addie Collins, and James and Lavada Beaver, all of whom preceded him in death. These influences guided him throughout his life, providing a foundation of strength and character.
A proud veteran, Stephen served honorably in the United States Air Force, where he demonstrated unwavering dedication and patriotism. His service to his country was a source of great pride for him and his family.
In 1989, Stephen found the love of his life, Linda, whom he married on May 10. The couple shared a beautiful journey of 37 years together, filled with laughter, adventure, and mutual support. Linda was his rock, his confidante, and his greatest joy.
Stephen's career as a truck driver allowed him to travel the country, experiencing the vast beauty and diversity of the United States. He cherished these journeys and the stories they gave him to share with his family and friends.
He was a man with a unique perspective on life, often choosing to wish people a "Happy Anniversary of your birth" rather than the conventional "Happy Birthday." This simple gesture was emblematic of his thoughtful and caring nature, always seeking to make others feel special and appreciated.
Stephen is survived by his beloved wife, Linda, and their sons James (married to Jennefer), Victor, and Paul (married to Heather). His legacy continues through his 11 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren, who brought immense joy to his life. He is also survived by his brother, Duane (and wife Chris), and a niece and nephew, who all held a special place in his heart.
In these final years, Stephen was surrounded by the love and care of his family, for which they are eternally grateful. The family extends their heartfelt thanks to all who have provided care and support during this time, as well as those who have shown an outpouring of love and encouragement to them.
In accordance with Stephen's wishes, a private funeral ceremony will be held to honor his life. As we remember Stephen, let us celebrate the love and kindness he shared with the world, the service he gave to his country, and the cherished memories he leaves behind.
The family invites those who knew Stephen to remember him in their own special way, honoring the joyous spirit with which he lived his life. Stephen Clovis Beaver's legacy is one of love, service, and enduring kindness, and he will forever remain in the hearts of his family and friends.
