Born on July 14, 1974, in Decatur, Texas, Stephanie was a cherished member of her community and brought joy to all who knew her. She was the loving daughter of James and Sharon Tackett, who have since passed on, leaving behind a legacy of warmth and kindness that Stephanie carried forward. Stephanie grew up in Decatur, where she developed a keen interest in technology, leading her to pursue a degree in computer science from ATM. Her passion for the field was evident throughout her 30-year career as a technician dispatcher at AT&T. Stephanie was known for her dedication, professionalism, and her ability to connect with colleagues and customers alike, often going above and beyond to ensure everyone felt valued and heard. Beyond her professional life, Stephanie's greatest joy was her family. She is survived by her beloved daughter, Halee, who was the light of her life. She also leaves behind her sister, Kimberly Throckmorton, and brother-in-law, Tommy, of Bowie, as well as her cherished nieces, numerous cousins, and a wide circle of friends. Stephanie’s home was always filled with laughter and love, as she treasured every moment spent with her family and friends. Stephanie had a remarkable ability to bring people together, whether it was through a simple gathering or a heartfelt conversation. Her warmth and generosity were unmatched, and she had an innate ability to make everyone feel like they belonged. Her love for those around her was boundless, and her gentle spirit touched the lives of many. A celebration of Stephanie's life will be held on August 8, 2026, at 2:00 PM. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance of a truly extraordinary woman whose love and kindness will be dearly missed but never forgotten.
