Stephanie Ruth (Sherry) Swanson

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Stephanie Ruth (Sherry) Swanson, who departed this life on June 15, 2026, at the age of 39. Born on December 7, 1986, in Grand Rapids, Stephanie brought light and laughter into the lives of everyone she encountered. Stephanie was the beloved daughter of the late David and Lisa Sherry. She is survived by her cherished daughter, Mia Clare Hawley, and loving husband, Brice Swanson. Stephanie and Brice celebrated their love with a beautiful marriage on May 18, 2019, in Rockford, Michigan, sharing a way too short, 11 wonderful years together. A spirited soul, Stephanie attended Lowell High School, graduating in 2006, before pursuing her passion for helping others by studying emergency medicine at Montcalm Community College. Her career as a server and bartender at Rogue River Tavern and Turk Lake Bar reflected her love for making people smile and providing outstanding service. Stephanie's free spirit and energetic personality were evident in her love for the outdoors, whether she was sitting around a fire, fishing, or enjoying the company of friends. She was a natural entertainer, known for hosting lively bonfires and barn parties. In her high school years, she was an avid snowboarder, eagerly competing and enjoying the thrill of the sport. Friends and family remember Stephanie’s bubbly nature and willingness to help those in need. Her presence was a beacon of joy and comfort, and her legacy of kindness and generosity will continue to inspire those who knew her. A celebration of Stephanie's life will be held on July 10, 2026, from 3:30 to 5:30 PM at Townsend Park (open pavilion), 8280 6 Mile Rd, Cannonsburg, MI 49317. Family and friends are invited to gather and share memories of the life we all loved. In honor of Stephanie's compassionate heart, donations can be made to the National Alopecia Areata Foundation, reflecting her spirit of support and care for others. Stephanie will be dearly missed and forever remembered by her loved ones. May her soul rest in eternal peace.
