It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Stephanie Michelle Jefferson Langley, who tragically left this world on February 11, 2026. Born in the heart of Gulfport, Mississippi, on March 16, 1971, Stephanie graced the world with her vibrant spirit and loving heart, touching the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Stephanie was the cherished daughter of Katherine Clemons (Jefferson) and the late Samuel D. Jefferson. She was predeceased by her beloved father, Samuel, whose memory she carried with her always. She leaves behind her devoted mother, Katherine Jefferson, affectionately known as Katt, of Gulfport, Mississippi. Stephanie’s spirit lives on in the hearts of her brother, Dexter Cornelius Jefferson (DC) of Denver, Colorado, her dear Aunt Mary Louise Ash of Gulfport, Mississippi, and Uncle Gus Keller of Helendale, California. She is also survived by a multitude of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will miss her dearly.
A proud graduate of Gulfport High School, class of 1989, Stephanie excelled in her studies, earning honors that were a testament to her dedication and intellect. She pursued higher education at the University of Phoenix in Atlanta, Georgia, where she honed her skills and prepared for a career that would allow her to help others.
Stephanie found her professional calling as a paralegal, a role she embraced with enthusiasm and commitment at the Faberge & Benson Law Firm. Her work was not just a job but a passion, and she cherished the opportunity to make a difference through her dedication and expertise.
Throughout her life, Stephanie was a devoted member of the Mount Bethel Baptist Church, where she found strength and community before embarking on her life’s journey. Her faith was a guiding light, providing her with solace and joy.
Beyond her professional and spiritual pursuits, Stephanie was a woman of varied interests. She found immense joy in tending to her beloved pets, especially her cherished Schipperke, who was a constant companion. Her love for animals mirrored her love for people—boundless and unconditional.
Known for her warm mouth and infectious smile, Stephanie possessed a unique ability to uplift those around her. Her joyful mood was contagious, and her kindness and generosity touched countless lives. Her presence brought warmth to any room, and her absence leaves a void that can never be filled.
In accordance with her wishes, a private funeral ceremony will be held to honor Stephanie’s life and legacy. The family of Stephanie Michelle Jefferson Langley extends their heartfelt gratitude to all who have shown acts of love and kindness during this difficult time. Your support and prayers have been a source of comfort and strength.
