December 26, 1996 — May 12, 2026

In loving memory of Step Dad Christopher Gandara, who graced this world with his presence on December 26, 1996, in El Paso, TX, and left us far too soon on May 12, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer. Christopher, affectionately known as "Step Dad," touched the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know him with his vibrant spirit, mischievous humor, and unwavering love for his family. Christopher was the beloved son of Kathryn and Eddie, who nurtured his adventurous spirit and boundless curiosity. His journey through life was marked by a unique education, having graduated from the school of life on the streets, where he learned invaluable lessons in resilience, kindness, and the importance of laughter. In 2016, Christopher found his soulmate, Evelyn, whom he lovingly referred to as his "shorty." Their marriage was a testament to the power of love and shared joy, as they created a life together filled with laughter, mutual respect, and an unbreakable bond. Their adventures, often characterized by spirited games and playful antics, were the heartbeat of their relationship, a testament to their shared belief in living life to the fullest. Christopher's spirit was unyielding even in the face of adversity, and he faced his battle with cancer with remarkable courage and dignity. His resilience and strength served as an inspiration to all who knew him, demonstrating the power of hope and love in the most challenging times. He leaves behind a legacy of warmth and compassion, forever cherished by his devoted wife, Evelyn, and the many friends and family who were blessed to be part of his life journey. A private ceremony will be held to honor Christopher's life, allowing those closest to him to celebrate his memory in an intimate setting. Though he is no longer with us, his spirit will live on in the hearts of those who loved him, reminding us all of the importance of cherishing every moment and the enduring power of love. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Christopher's memory to a charity of your choice, reflecting his generous spirit and commitment to making the world a better place. Christopher, your laughter, love, and light will be dearly missed but never forgotten. Rest in peace.
