In loving memory of Stenbert Langley Sr., affectionately known as "Joe," who passed away peacefully surrounded by his devoted wife, children, and grandchildren. Joe was born on August 5, 1945, in Beckford Kraal Clarendon, Jamaica, to parents Lilybel Williams and Thomas Langley. He grew to be a beacon of love, joy, and strength for all who knew him. Joe's early education took place at Mount Liberty All Age School in Jamaica, where he laid the foundation for a life driven by learning and compassion. He met the love of his life, Elizabeth Turner, and they married on July 23, 1978, embarking on a beautiful journey together that spanned nearly half a century. Joe dedicated his career to being a behavior specialist, working tirelessly for 30 years with mental health patients. His gentle spirit and innate ability to connect with individuals with disabilities left a lasting impact on countless lives. Joe found joy in playing card games and dominos with friends, and he cherished the moments spent watching wrestling on television with his grandson, Demetreus. His laughter was infectious, and his zest for life was evident in everything he did. Joe's family was the center of his universe. He is survived by his loving wife, Elizabeth Langley, his son Stenbert Langley Jr., and daughter Tremira Jackson. He also leaves behind his cherished siblings, Mabel Langley, Alberga Barbara Walsh, Joyce Williams, Dean, and Bunny. Joe was a proud grandfather to Desareen, Elicia, Elijah, Daniel, and Demetreus, and he found immense joy in his great-grandchild. He is predeceased by his parents, Lilybel Williams and Thomas Langley, as well as Volda Hewitt, Sigourney Langley, Denzil Langley, and his niece, Juanita Walsh. His extended family of grand-nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends will forever remember Joe's warm smile and enduring kindness. A celebration of Joe's life will be held on October 30, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Fairfield Baptist Church, located at 6133 Redan Rd, Lithonia, GA 30058. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to all who have reached out with love and support during this time. They appreciate the phone calls, texts, and travels to Atlanta, Georgia, to honor the life of their beloved Joe. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Joe's memory to a charity of your choice, reflecting his lifelong commitment to helping others. Joe's legacy of love, laughter, and compassion will forever remain in the hearts of those he touched. May he rest in peace, knowing he was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed.
