September 4, 1930 — July 30, 2026

Stanley Ralph Miller, a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and dedicated friend, passed away peacefully in his sleep on July 30, 2026, at the age of 95. Born on September 4, 1930, in Cincinnati, Ohio, Stan lived a life filled with love, laughter, and a profound dedication to family and community. Stan was born to Emma C. Patman and Stanley F. Miller, who instilled in him values of kindness and generosity that he carried throughout his life. On August 2, 1955, he married the love of his life, Marion Rahfuse Miller, with whom he shared an inseparable bond until her passing. Together, they raised two wonderful children, Gregory and Pamela, who carry forward their parents' legacy of warmth and compassion. Stan proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, where he was stationed in Seoul, South Korea. His dedicated service earned him the Meritorious Service Medal, a testament to his commitment and courage. After his military service, Stan pursued a career as a chemical engineer, where his innovative spirit and determination made a lasting impact. A man of many talents, Stan was known for his quick wit and warm smile, always ready with a joke to lighten the mood. His love for photography was a passion he shared with his daughter, Pam, capturing life's precious moments through the lens of a camera. An avid traveler, Stan, alongside Marion, explored the wonders of Turkey, Australia, China, and even the icy expanses of Antarctica. His artistic soul found expression in sketching landscapes and painting sunsets, while his penchant for adventure led him to build and fly model airplanes, creating cherished memories with his son and grandson. Stan was a devoted member of the Episcopal community, having served as an active member of the Episcopal Church in Cincinnati, Ohio, and later at St. John's Episcopal Church in Roseville, California. His faith and commitment to his community were an integral part of his life. He is survived by his children, Gregory (Renee) and Pamela (Wade); his grandchildren, David (Jodell), Brendan (Rayna), Geoffrey (Sarah), and Allison (Nathaniel); and his nine great-grandchildren, Lili, Enoch, Alyvia, Rory, Charlotte, Brady, Elsie, Lindsey, and Maddie. Stan's family meant the world to him, and he took immense pride and joy in their achievements and happiness. The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Eskaton Assisted Living and Sutter Hospice for the compassionate care they provided to Stan in his final days. In honor of Stan's memory, donations can be made to a charity of your choice. A private funeral ceremony will be held to celebrate his life and legacy. Stanley Ralph Miller's life was a testament to love, laughter, and the enduring power of a kind heart. His spirit will continue to live on in the stories we share and the memories we cherish.
