Stanley McVay

Stanley McVay, a beloved son, brother, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 5, 2026, at the age of 68. Born on February 2, 1958, in Morrilton, Arkansas, Stanley was the cherished son of the late Tollie McVay Jr. and Ella Mae Ross. He was predeceased by his parents, brother Theodis Maxwell, and his dear grandson, Lacorieon "Mackey" McVay. Throughout his life, Stanley was known for his warm heart, gentle spirit, and unwavering dedication to his family and community. He was a beacon of light for everyone who had the honor of knowing him, and he embraced life with an infectious enthusiasm and a kind smile that could brighten the darkest of days. Stanley's legacy lives on in his loving family: his devoted sister, Turner Lee McVay; his treasured children, son Stantwon McVay, daughters Sandra McVay and Stanisha Maltbia. He was a proud grandfather to his grandchildren Dontavious Ward, Samyra McVay, Jayna, McJoy, and Cassidy Harris, and he cherished his great-granddaughters, Izzy & Remedy. His family was his pride and joy, and he poured his heart into nurturing and supporting them, ensuring that love and laughter were ever-present in their lives. Beyond his family, Stanley was a steadfast friend and neighbor who was always ready to lend a helping hand. He attended UACCM of Morrilton, Ar where he learned to be a small engine mechanic. Stanley had a love for his dogs, antique cars, & farm life. He was a jack of all trades & leaves behind a legacy of compassion, integrity, and joy, and his memory will forever be cherished by all who had the privilege of crossing his path. A celebration of Stanley McVay's life will be held on August 23, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Cadron Settlement Park in Conway, Arkansas. Friends and family are invited to gather to honor and remember a man who touched so many lives with his gentle soul and boundless love. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the family member of your choice, reflecting his generous spirit and commitment to helping others.
