Stanley Lee Young

Stanley Lee Young, a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away on August 10, 2026. Born on January 22, 1962, in Clarksdale, Arkansas, Stanley was the cherished son of Lola Mae Young and JC Young, who have predeceased him, as well as his dear brother Devon Young. Stanley's legacy is carried forward by his loving children: Erica Moore and her husband, Demarco Moore, Faith Young, Trinity Young, Devon Young, and Jackson Young. He was a proud grandfather to Quadrell Sims and Jaylen Sims. His siblings, Jerry Young, Larry Young, Willie Young, Dariq Young, Akeithon Young, Delores Young, and Samantha Young, will forever hold him in their hearts. Close friends, including Kim Williams, who became like family, will remember Stanley's unwavering friendship and love. A proud graduate of Job Corps, Stanley found his calling as a Sterile Processing Technician, making significant contributions at St. Vincent Hospital, Doctors Hospital, Children's Hospital, and Baptist Hospital. His passion for his work was evident to all who knew him. Outside of his professional life, Stanley had a vibrant spirit, with a deep love for basketball and football. His laughter was infectious, and he often fancied himself a stand-up comedian. A lover of music, Stanley was always ready to dance to tunes by Michael Jackson and Prince. Stanley had a flair for fashion, and his distinct style was a testament to his confidence and zest for life. His magnetic personality and warm smile, highlighted by his memorable gold tooth, left a lasting impression on everyone he met. A celebration of Stanley's life will be held on August 30, 2026, at 1:00 PM at the Library, located at 2100 John Barrow Road. The family extends a special thanks to Arkansas Cremation for their compassionate care and support. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice, in memory of Stanley. As shared in a heartfelt letter from his daughter Erica, "I know you loved me; thank you for showing me what love looks like... there is nobody like 'Stan D,' and there never will be. I love you, this is super hard for me, but I will pull through. I'll see you soon in God's speed. Until then, all I have is a broken heart and memories to cherish. You were my first love and always will be..." Stanley's influence and love will continue to be felt by all who knew him, and he will be deeply missed.
