Stacy Frances Louise Schnabel

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Stacy Frances Louise Schnabel, a mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, who left us suddenly at her home on July 2, 2026, at the age of 75. Born on November 29, 1950, in Baltimore, MD, Stacy's life was a testament to the joy and warmth she shared with everyone she met. Stacy was the cherished daughter of the late Eulas Harris and Mildred Harris (Evans), whose nurturing spirit she embodied throughout her life. She was predeceased by her devoted husband, Scott Schnabel, with whom she shared a loving marriage since August 5, 1989. A proud graduate of Fieldale-Collinsville High School in 1968, Stacy's thirst for knowledge eventually led her to attend Rockingham Community College in the late 1970s. Her career in sales and administration at State Farm Insurance and Allstate Insurance was marked by her unwavering dedication and professionalism, earning her the respect and admiration of colleagues and clients alike. Stacy's vibrant personality was matched only by her incredible talents. Known for her wonderful voice, she loved to sing especially the music of the 1960's. Her great smile and outgoing nature made her the life of any gathering, whether she was shag dancing, enjoying music, or sharing laughter with friends. Stacy found immense joy in traveling, particularly taking cruises that allowed her to embrace the beauty of the world around her. Her legacy is carried on by her children, Mark Lawson (Lisa) and Christy Rahman (Marvin); her sister, Anne Jones; and her beloved grandchildren, Michael, London, Darian, Zachary and great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Cameron, Rachel, Colton, and Aurora. Her nieces, Beth and Wendy, also carry forward the cherished memories of their dear aunt. A graveside service will be held on August 29, 2026, at 12:00 PM at Ross Harbour Cemetery in Elamsville, VA. Friends and family are invited to gather to honor the incredible life Stacy lived and the profound impact she had on those who knew her. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Research Association.
