St. Christopher Joel Gray

December 1, 1968 — May 29, 2026

It is with profound sadness and deep appreciation for a life well-lived that we announce the sudden passing of St. Christopher Joel Gray on May 29, 2026. Born on December 1, 1968, in the warm and vibrant heart of Jamaica, Christopher lived a life defined by love, skill, and unwavering dedication to family and friends. Christopher was the beloved son of Joyce Gray and the late Winston Gray, who welcomed him into a world that he filled with joy and laughter. Predeceased by his father, he leaves behind his cherished mother, Joyce, who along with a loving family, mourns the loss of a remarkable man. Christopher's legacy is carried forward by his children, Cierra, Porscha, and Raheem, who were the pride and joy of his life, and his five beautiful grandchildren: Janae, Janiyah, Aneesah, Halo, and Carrera. They will forever remember their grandfather's gentle guidance, infectious laughter, and the way he lit up every room he entered. He is also survived by his siblings: Winston, Jennifer, Carlene, Rodney, and Curtis, along with their spouses, Junior, Griselda, Connie, and Tom, who shared many precious moments of camaraderie and support. His nieces and nephews, Nigel, Brittany, Brianna, Kyle, Isaiah, Blake, and Samara, along with a host of great-nieces and nephews, were always greeted with his warm smile and open arms. Christopher's longtime friend and companion, Melanie, holds a special place in her heart for the loving memories they created together. A talented carpenter by trade, Christopher's craftsmanship was admired by all who had the pleasure of witnessing his work. His attention to detail and ability to translate ideas into beautiful realities left an indelible mark on the homes, businesses, and lives of those he served. He was never one to shy away from lending his skills to those in need, and his legacy will live on in the structures that stand as a testament to his talent and generosity. In his leisure time, Christopher found joy in the world of sports, particularly basketball and football. A devoted Dallas Cowboys fan, he spent countless hours celebrating victories and engaging in spirited discussions with fellow fans. His enthusiasm and team spirit were contagious, leaving those around him with memories of lively conversations and shared passions. Above all, Christopher's life was centered around family. He cherished every moment spent with his loved ones, whether it was sharing stories, laughter, or simply being together. His caring nature and generous spirit were unwavering, and his love for those closest to him was evident in every interaction. As we bid farewell to Christopher, we hold onto the countless memories he leaves behind, which will be treasured forever. His spirit lives on in the hearts of all who knew him, and his legacy will continue to inspire and guide his family and friends. He will be profoundly missed but never forgotten. May he rest in eternal peace, knowing he was deeply loved.
