January 24, 1989 — July 28, 2026

In loving memory of Spencer Joseph Robin Sellmer, who departed this life on July 28, 2026, leaving a legacy of compassion, humor, and unwavering love. Born on January 24, 1989, in Hopkinsville, Kentucky, Spencer was a cherished son to Robert L. Sellmer II and Carla R. Curtis Sellmer. Spencer's journey through life was marked by the deep bonds he shared with his family and friends. Preceded in death by his beloved fiancée, Jennifer M. Bergstrom, Spencer found joy and companionship in their twelve years together, a partnership that began in their childhood as "Army Brats" and grew into building a life together in Kansas, shared with their three cherished furbabies. The loss of Jenny in 2021 left an indelible mark on his heart and soul. He is survived by his brothers, Robert C. Sellmer and Michael T.C. Sellmer, and his sisters, Jennifer M. Brown and Polina K. Sellmer. He is survived by his nephews and nieces: Robert C. Sellmer II, Gauge L. Sellmer, Rebekah Gillum Sellmer, Catherine N. Sellmer, and Elizabeth B. Sellmer. Spencer's paternal grandmother, Judith L. Mann, along with his many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends, also mourn his passing. Spencer was a devoted fan of the Tennessee Titans and the Chicago Bulls, he had encyclopedic knowledge of NFL and NBA statistics and history, which he eagerly shared with anyone willing to listen. He enjoyed music, podcasts, comedy, and literature, especially the Game of Thrones universe. He loved learning new things and exploring many different subjects. Those who knew Spencer remember him as quick-witted, compassionate, and accepting of everyone just as they were. Spencer's favorite quote and personal motto fit him perfectly: "That's what I do. I drink and I know things." A celebration of Spencer's life will be held on August 15, 2026, at 5:30 p.m. at Celebration Hall, located at 1524 Gardner St., Scottsburg, IN 47170. Family and friends are invited to gather and honor Spencer's memory, sharing stories and laughter in remembrance. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to the Tennessee Titans Foundation, an organization close to Spencer's heart. Spencer Joseph Robin Sellmer will be dearly missed, but his legacy of love, laughter, and kindness will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him.
