March 2, 1956 — June 4, 2026

It is with profound respect and deep sadness that we announce the passing of Soule Marquise Brown, a cherished figure in our lives, who left us on June 4, 2026, at the age of 70. Born on March 2, 1956, in Vallejo, California, Soule's journey was one marked by service, leadership, and an unwavering commitment to his community and loved ones. Soule was the beloved son of Marie and Louis Brown, who predeceased him, along with his cherished niece, Shawnice Marie Brown. He is survived by his loving partner of 25 years, Crystal Miller, who was his steadfast companion and confidante. Although they had no children of their own, Soule and Crystal were deeply involved in the lives of their nieces and nephews, nurturing them as if they were their own. Soule's legacy continues through his siblings, Wintress, Laquita, Shawnveries, and Silivester Brown, and his nieces and nephews: Tasha Mac, Charday Brown Romero, Shawnet Brown, Simone Brown, Serena Kelley Brown, Shawnveries Brown Jr, Antione Brown, and Shromeo Brown. His longtime business partner, Mary Jane Magee, and his close friends, Bubba and Lotti, also feel the weight of this loss profoundly. After graduating from Vallejo High School in 1973, Soule embarked on a distinguished career in the U.S. Air Force, where he served with honor for 25 years. His journey began at Lackland Air Force Base, where he trained in aircraft electrical and avionics systems. His thirst for knowledge led him to earn an Associate Degree in Electronics Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, setting a precedent for those who followed. Throughout his military career, Soule rose through the ranks with exceptional leadership and technical expertise, ultimately achieving the prestigious rank of Chief Master Sergeant. His service during Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm showcased his ability to remain calm under pressure and his commitment to excellence, earning him numerous awards, including the Legion of Merit and the Humanitarian Service Medal. Upon retiring from the Air Force in 1999, Soule's journey was far from over. He transitioned into civilian life with a strategic mind and a compassionate heart, building a real estate portfolio that would become a cornerstone of his legacy. His passion for community and service led him to found Brown Community Outreach in 2018, a nonprofit dedicated to uplifting local families through educational programs, housing assistance, and mentorship. Soule's faith was his guiding light, leading him to establish the New Hope Community Church in his hometown. His life was a testament to the values he held dear: integrity, service, and empathy. Under his leadership, the church became a beacon of hope and support, extending its reach far beyond traditional worship to include community housing projects, youth mentorship, and veteran support initiatives. To those who knew him, Soule was affectionately known as "Uncle Soule." His wisdom, generosity, and humor endeared him to everyone he encountered. He had an innate ability to see potential in others and devoted his time to nurturing that potential, changing countless lives in the process. Soule's life will be celebrated at Calvary Community Church, 585 Mini Dr, Vallejo, CA, on June 24, 2026, at 10:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Brown Community Outreach, continuing Soule's mission of compassion and service. The family of Soule Marquise Brown extends its heartfelt gratitude to the many who enriched his life and supported him throughout his journey. Your acts of kindness, prayers, and shared memories have been a source of strength during this time of loss. As we remember Soule, we are comforted by the knowledge that his legacy lives on in the lives he touched. He was not just a veteran, investor, or community leader; he was a man whose heart was as vast as his accomplishments. His life was a testament to the power of service, and he leaves behind an indelible mark on all who had the privilege to know him. May God bless each of you as richly as Soule was blessed by your presence in his life.
