It is with heavy hearts and profound gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved Soon Hae Lee on March 29, 2026, at the age of 88. Born on July 29, 1937, in the bustling city of Seoul, Korea, Soon Hae was the cherished daughter of Seong Ho Kim and Wol Hyeong Lee. She leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and resilience that will be carried forward by her devoted family. Predeceased by her beloved husband, Joon Il Lee, and her dear parents, Soon Hae is survived by her four loving children: Hyun Sook, Hyun Sun, Hyun Mi, and Seong Won. Her nurturing spirit and gentle parenting style were a guiding light for her six grandchildren—Jin Hee, Lee, Kristin, Haelee, Jaeson, and Hanna—and her three great-grandchildren, who brought her immense joy and pride. Soon Hae dedicated her early years to raising her children, ensuring that their home was always filled with warmth, delicious food, and her impeccable touch. As her children grew, so did her aspirations. Driven by her determination and desire for independence, she courageously pursued new challenges, obtaining her driver's license and entering the workforce. Her journey led her from cleaning houses to working in manufacturing companies, where she exhibited a remarkable resilience and work ethic. A woman of immense grace and strength, Soon Hae's life was a testament to the power of perseverance and independence. She embraced every challenge with unwavering resolve, demonstrating that life's ups and downs are meant to be met with courage and dignity. Her family fondly remembers her as a beacon of love and happiness, especially in the cherished memory of her in the sunlit kitchen, the fresh air delicately swaying the sheer curtains, Elton John's melodies playing softly in the background, as she hummed along, immersed in the simple joys of life. Soon Hae Lee's legacy is one of kindness, strength, and an unwavering love for her family. Her gentle spirit and enduring determination will continue to inspire and guide those who were fortunate enough to know her. As we say goodbye, we do so with hearts full of love and gratitude for the beautiful life she led. A private family service will be held to honor her memory, celebrating the life of a remarkable woman who touched so many with her grace and warmth. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a charity of choice, in memory of Soon Hae Lee's generous spirit. May her soul rest in peace, and may her memory be a blessing to all who knew and loved her.
