Born on July 29, 1937, in the vibrant city of Seoul, Korea, Soon Hae was the beloved daughter of Seong Ho Kim and Wol Hyeong Lee, who instilled in her a deep appreciation for family and tradition. Soon Hae's journey was one marked by resilience and grace. A devoted wife to her late husband, Joon Il Lee, and a nurturing mother, Soon Hae dedicated the early years of her life to creating a loving home for their four children: Hyun Sook, Hyun Sun, Hyun Mi, and Seong Won. Her home was always filled with the aroma of deliciously prepared meals and the warmth of her gentle parenting style. Her children remember her not just as a mother, but as a source of unwavering support and love. As her children grew, Soon Hae embraced new challenges with determination. She insisted on obtaining her driver's license, a testament to her desire for independence, and entered the workforce with a spirit of resilience. Starting by cleaning houses and later working in manufacturing companies, Soon Hae exemplified the values of hard work and perseverance, traits she passed down to her family. Her legacy endures through her six adoring grandchildren: Jin Hee, Lee, Kristin, Haelee, Jaeson, and Hanna, as well as her three cherished great-grandchildren. They will forever carry the memory of their grandmother's kindness and strength, qualities that have undoubtedly shaped their lives in immeasurable ways. Soon Hae's family fondly recalls her love for music, particularly the tunes of Elton John, which often filled the sunlit kitchen of their home.
