It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Sondra Pitman, a beloved mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, on June 25, 2026. Born on November 14, 1968, in Clark County, Kentucky, Sondra brought light and love into the lives of all who knew her. She entered eternal rest at the age of 57, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, resilience, and unwavering love for her family.
Sondra was the cherished daughter of Phyllis Jane Holder, who survives her. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, David Pitman, whose memory she carried close to her heart throughout her life.
A devoted mother, Sondra is lovingly remembered by her daughters, Sabrina Brock and her husband Donnie of Nancy, Kentucky, and Brittany Pitman of Somerset, Kentucky. Her granddaughter, Ariella Morris, was the apple of her eye, bringing immense joy and pride to Sondra's life.
Sondra's family extended beyond her immediate loved ones to include a network of caring siblings. She leaves behind her sisters, Tona Collins and her husband James of Somerset, Kentucky; Jennifer Smith and her husband Randall of Somerset, Kentucky; Melissa Marten of Somerset, Kentucky; Vivian Faulkner of Stanford, Kentucky; and Jennifer Faulkner of Stanton, Kentucky, Brother: Jeffery Holder of Somerset Ky
Her nieces and nephews, whom she adored as her own, include Courtney King and her fiancé Josh Smith of Somerset, Kentucky; Brandi Denham of Somerset, Kentucky; Logan Sandlin and his fiancé Lora Brown of Monticello, Kentucky; and Josh Denham and his fiancé Savannah Palmer of Somerset, Kentucky. Sondra was also blessed with an extended family of nieces, nephews, and other family members who will deeply miss her loving presence.
Sondra's life was a testament to the power of love, family, and friendship. Her warmth, gentle spirit, and generous heart touched all who crossed her path. Whether through her smile, a comforting word, or a helping hand, Sondra's kindness knew no bounds.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Sondra's life and honor her memory at a service on June 30, 2026, at 6:00 PM at Pulaski Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to a charity of your choice, in honor of Sondra's compassionate nature and her lifelong commitment to helping others.
Sondra Pitman's spirit will forever be carried in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. Her legacy of love and compassion serves as a guiding light, reminding us all of the beauty and strength in unyielding family bonds. As we gather to remember Sondra, we celebrate a life well-lived, and a woman deeply loved.
