In Loving Memory

Gerald I. Barrow, Jr.
July 15, 1971 — May 7, 2026
It is with heavy hearts and profound gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the passing of Gerald I. Barrow, Jr. a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend. Son departed this world peacefully on May 7, 2026, at the age of 54, surrounded by the love of family and friends. He was born on July 15, 1971, in the charming town of Biloxi, Mississippi, in Harrison County.
Jerry was the cherished son of Rhonda Duncan (Charles) and the late Gerald Ingram Barrow, Sr. He is now reunited in eternal rest with his loving wife, Rhonda Dockter Barrow, his father Gerald, Stepmother Brenda, and his paternal grandparents, Ellis and Lucy Barrow, as well as maternal grandparents, Orville and Mabel Brewer. He is also preceded in death by his uncle James Barrow, William Brewer and aunts Sharon Hensley and Vicki Manning.
Jerry’s legacy of warmth and love continues through his surviving family members: his brother Matthew Barrow (Alaina), sisters Rebecca Barrow, Candice Barrow Stone (Evan), Rachel Barrow Stewart (Micheal), and his affectionate aunts Margie Drake (David) and Martha Seals. He leaves behind a host of beloved nieces, nephews, and his special friend, Gloria Chris.
Jerry’s life was a tapestry woven with passions and joys that touched all who knew him. A man who loved Jesus and cherished his Chevrolet pickup trucks, and boats, and was a hard worker with a ready smile and a warm laugh. He was a people person through and through, with a generous spirit that often saw him helping others in their time of need. Jerry was a man who found joy in the simple pleasures of life—his passion for fishing was only rivaled by his love for gardening and crafting beautiful furniture.
A lifelong learner and a man of many talents, Jerry received his G.E.D. and worked diligently in various roles throughout his career. His resilience and skill as a welder were well known, respected, and he concluded his professional journey at Pass Christian Yacht Works, where he was deeply valued.
Son's faith was a cornerstone of his life. Baptized as a Baptist, he attended the First Baptist Church of Long Beach, MS, as long as his health permitted. His love for Jesus was evident in everything he did, and his community felt his kind-hearted spirit.
In this time of reflection and remembrance, Son's family wishes to extend heartfelt thanks to the compassionate caregivers who supported him in his final days. Special gratitude is extended to Dr. Chedid and his staff, Hospice of Light, and particularly Patrick, his devoted hospice nurse, for their unwavering care.
Though Jerry did not have grandchildren or great-grandchildren, his legacy is carried on by those who knew him and loved him dearly. His memory will forever be treasured in the hearts of his family and friends.
As we say goodbye to a truly remarkable man, let us celebrate Gerald (Jerry)Barrow's life by cherishing the lessons he taught us about love, passion, and the importance of family. May he rest in peace, forever fishing in the tranquil waters of the hereafter.
