With heavy hearts and profound gratitude for a life well lived, we announce the passing of Sis. Irene Williams, who left this world peacefully on April 21, 2026, at the age of 55. Born on April 11, 1971, in the United States, Sis. Irene was a beacon of love and warmth to all who knew her. She was the cherished daughter of Ms. Paula Jones and Mr. Quincy Jones Sr. Sis. Irene graduated with a nursing degree from LSU, marking the beginning of a career dedicated to caring and nurturing others. Her professional life was a testament to her compassion and commitment to making the world a better place, one patient at a time. Beyond her professional achievements, Sis. Irene was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She leaves behind her loving daughter, Tameka “Brown” Williams, and son-in-law Tony Brown; her dear brother, Jerome Williams; and her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren, including her great-granddaughters Armani Sereal and Ashanti Edwards, and grandson Benjamin Edwards. In total, she was a proud and doting grandmother to 17 grandchildren and a great-grandmother to two. A woman of boundless kindness and humor, Sis. Irene found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She adored spending time with her family, often seen joking and baking with her grandchildren, creating cherished memories that will linger in their hearts forever. Her close childhood friend, Sis. Erma Lee, was like a sister to her, sharing in the laughter and tears of a lifelong friendship. Sis. Irene's life was a testament to the power of love and family. She treasured every moment spent with her loved ones, always prioritizing their happiness and well-being. Her warmth and laughter were infectious, leaving an indelible mark on everyone she met. A celebration of Sis. Irene Williams' life will be held on May 8, 2026, at 11:30 AM at the First Baptist Church of Port Arthur, located at 3948 Hwy 365, Port Arthur, TX 77642. Family and friends are invited to join us in honoring her memory and the remarkable legacy she leaves behind. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to all who have offered prayers and condolences during this difficult time. Your support has been a source of comfort and strength.
