Simeon A. Awanen

We gather today to commemorate the life and legacy of Mr. Simeon A. Awanen, who passed away recently. Mr. Awanen was born on January 1, 1966, in Nweol, Gokana, Rivers State, Nigeria, to Mr. Mbara Awanen and the late Mrs. Leelasi Awanen. He was the beloved sibling of Mrs. Mbiakpoo and Nlenwin. Throughout his life, Mr. Awanen engaged in various pursuits, including soccer, swimming, running, and dancing. He demonstrated a profound commitment to his family and exhibited a passion for cooking, volunteering, and assisting those in need. His sense of humor was infectious and brought joy to many. Colleagues and friends characterized Mr. Awanen as a man of integrity, recognized for his peaceful and kind demeanor—qualities that were frequently taken for granted. He consistently exemplified generosity, readily offering assistance to those in need. His legacy is defined by the joy and support he provided to others throughout his life. His presence and kindness will be sorely missed. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that donations be made to support his surviving family members. We express our heartfelt condolences to all who were close to him. While we mourn this loss, we also celebrate the remarkable individual he was, finding solace in the knowledge that he has attained peace. May Mr. Simeon A. Awanen rest in peace.
