Sidney was a cherished son of Dennie Chavis and Calvin Glover, and was blessed with a loving family and a wide circle of friends. Though he has now joined his beloved paternal grandparents, Nellie and Charlie Glover, and maternal grandparents, Marie C. Fogg and Johnnie Collins, in eternal peace, his memory will forever be treasured by those he leaves behind. His devoted wife, Barbara Crudup Glover, was his steadfast partner in life, and they shared a bond that served as a beacon of love and support. Sidney is also survived by his son, Benjamin, and a cherished grandchild, who brought immense joy to his life. Sidney's educational journey began at Franklinton High School, where he first honed the values of dedication and perseverance that he carried throughout his life. His commitment to community and service was exemplified through his selfless work feeding the homeless. Sidney provided more than just nourishment; he offered dignity, warmth, and heartfelt conversations to those in need, embodying a spirit of generosity that touched many lives. Among his many interests, Sidney found peace and balance through the practice of Tai Chi. This discipline not only enriched his own life but also reflected his calm nature and deep appreciation for harmony, both in body and spirit. His gentle demeanor and unwavering kindness were a testament to his character, leaving an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing him.
