Shon

It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Shon, who left this world on August 24, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on September 20, 1978, in Indio, California, Shon was a cherished son, brother, fiancé, and friend. Shon was the beloved son of Janet Warren and the late Miles George Warren. He leaves behind his loving fiancé and best friend, Mia Vargas, with whom he shared over six beautiful years of love and companionship. His presence will also be dearly missed by his siblings, brother Jason Warren, sister Stephany Warren and her son Reid, sister Amanda Warren Soefje and her husband Greg Soefje, along with their children, nephews Gavin and Quinn, and niece Kylee. A graduate of West Shore High School in Desert Shores, California, class of 1996, Shon went on to build a distinguished career as a lineman. His dedication and talent in his field were unrivaled, and his ascent to the position of foreman was a testament to his exceptional work ethic and meticulous attention to detail. Shon took immense pride in his work, knowing that lives depended on his precision and expertise. Beyond his professional life, Shon was a man of varied interests and passions. A proud and active member of the Cedar Ridge Range, McQueeny Gun Club, and Secure America Now, Shon had a profound interest in firearms. He loved attending gun shows, modifying firearms, and teaching friends the art of shooting. and way back when he enjoyed riding his motorcycle. His adventures often took him to hole-in-the-wall eateries, searching for culinary delights, and he was known for his love of sports, good food and beverages, particularly Jaeger bombs and Dos Equis. All which we will now put on Issacs Tab. Shon's laughter and warmth were infectious, and his sharp wit and, sometimes, inappropriate sense of humor brought humor to all who knew him. He was a safe space and a caretaker for those he loved, always ready to lend a helping hand. Shon was not only a brother's keeper but a friend to everyone he met. His playful personality and big heart made him a staple to the very few close friends but for so many he brought the Haha's to the lives of many. A fixture in the local social scene, Shon was well-known at establishments like the Lone Star Lounge, Oster Bar, and the Hideaway. Whether bartending long ago or simply enjoying a night out, Shon was surrounded by friends, including his best friends Adam Hernandez, Mia Vargas and Isaac Garcia. Together, they shared countless moments of gut laughing and entertainment. from Mondays with Adam, Nascar races, FIFA, Football, poker nights to watching the Astros play. he was always on the move. Shon was on the path to becoming a wonderful stepfather, and his love for Mia and his family knew no bounds. His love and legacy will continue to be felt in the laughter and memories he leaves behind. The family wishes to honor Shon's memory by caring his torch to continue the traditions he had for the love of sports to time with his friends. He worked so hard to be the polar opposite of where his life began. And he accomplished that and was very proud of where he was in his life. and where he was going. he was finally truly Happy. In this time of sorrow, we take solace in knowing that Shon is now with God, where heaven meets earth. His laughter and big heart will forever echo in the spaces we gather, reminding us of the love and joy he brought into our lives.
