Shirley Supplee
August 3, 1926 — October 12, 2026
Shirley Supplee, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on October 12, 2026, with her family by her side. Born on August 3, 1926, in Lafayette, MN to Ruth and Ernest Isenberg, Shirley lived a life rich in love, faith, and service that touched everyone she met.
Shirley graduated from Winthrop High School in 1944 and went on to have a distinguished career in finance at TCF Savings and Loan. Her professional life was marked by her integrity and dedication, but it was her personal life that truly defined her.
In 1946, Shirley married the love of her life, Charles Supplee. Together, they spent 76 joyful years building a home filled with love and laughter in South Minneapolis, where they raised their three children: Joseph, Eileen, and Paul. Shirley's family was the cornerstone of her life, and her devotion to them was unparalleled. She leaves behind her children and five cherished grandchildren: Ryan Farrell, Amy Farrell, Nathan Supplee, Andre Supplee, and Garrison Supplee, as well as seven great-grandchildren, who will forever carry her spirit in their hearts.
A woman of deep faith, Shirley was an active member of her church community. She leveraged her leadership skills in Bible Study and Lay Witness Missions and served on every committee of her Real Life Coop Board, taking on every officer role with grace and commitment. Her contributions extended beyond her administrative roles; she was known for her warmth and generosity, always ready to lend a helping hand or offer a kind word.
Shirley's love for music and creativity shone brightly through her hobbies. She was a talented pianist and guitarist and found joy in sewing and traveling. Her passion for shopping was only outmatched by her love for creating lasting memories with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her home was a sanctuary of learning and laughter, where stories were shared, and legacies were built.
Predeceased by her parents, Ruth and Ernest Isenberg, brothers Marlin, Kenneth, and Harvey, sister Genevieve, husband Charles, and granddaughter Rebecca, Shirley's enduring legacy will continue to inspire those who knew her.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice in Shirley's memory. They would also like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate staff of Bright On Hospice and The Little Hospice of Edina, MN, for their exceptional care and support.
Shirley's life was a testament to the power of love, faith, and family. Her gentle spirit and unwavering kindness will be dearly missed, but her legacy will live on in the hearts of all who were privileged to know her.
In lieu of flowers, the family of Shirley Supplee welcomes donations to a charity, nonprofit, church, or organization of your choosing.
