In Loving Memory

Shirley Siegrist-Marion
January 8, 1935 — April 12, 2026
We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Shirley Siegrist-Marion, a beloved mother, artist, and friend. Shirley departed this world peacefully at her home in New Tazewell, TN, on April 12, 2026, at the age of 91, due to heart failure.
Born on January 8, 1935, in Norwich CT, Shirley was the only daughter of Albert and Stella Siegrist. She was predeceased by her parents, her beloved son Steven, her husband Robert Marion, and her youngest brother Ralph Siegrist.
Shirley was a strong and independent lady. She lived in several states from Texas, New York, New Mexico, Washington and Northern California before settling in Tennessee to be close to daughter Tracy, who resided with her and took fantastic care of her for many years. She had a special affinity for animals, and she shared her life with her constant companion, Toby the dog, who brought her immense joy and comfort along with several rescue cats.
A woman of many talents, Shirley was an avid gardener with a special interest in rare and exotic irises. Her green thumb and artistic eye were mirrored in her accomplishments as a painter and creator of art. Each brushstroke and planted seed was a testament to her passion for beauty and life.
Shirley leaves behind her two devoted daughters, Tammy and Tracy Dziedzic of New Tazewell, TN, brothers Albert and Jack Siegrist of Washington state, special cousins Mae and Patty and numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to nurse Jodi from Beacon Hospice, whose care and compassion during Shirley's final days were a source of great comfort.
In this time of mourning, we celebrate Shirley's life—a life well-lived, full of love, creativity, and kindness. Her spirit will forever remain with us, blooming in every flower she planted and living on in every work of art she created.
Shirley did not wish to have any services so please remember and honor her in your own special ways. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Shirley's name to your local animal shelter.
