Shirley (Appleton) Bradshaw

April 2, 1945 — April 1, 2026

Shirley (Appleton) Bradshaw, a beacon of kindness and generosity, left this world peacefully on April 1, 2026, just one day shy of her 81st birthday, at Residence Nazaire Piché. Born on April 2, 1945, Shirley lived a life defined by love, laughter, and an unwavering commitment to her family and community. Shirley's journey began in a small, close-knit community where values of generosity were deeply embedded in her upbringing. These values continued to shape her life as she touched the hearts of everyone she met. The warmth of her spirit and her ability to make those around her feel cherished will be profoundly missed. On February 8, 1969, Shirley embarked on a beautiful journey with her beloved husband, Lester Bradshaw. Their marriage was a testament to a partnership filled with devotion, respect, and joy. The love they shared was evident in the nurturing home they created for their children, Emily and Jason. Shirley and Lester's relationship served as an inspiring example of companionship and dedication. Shirley was the proud and loving mother of Emily and Jason, whom she raised with compassion and understanding. Her children were the beneficiaries of her boundless love and wisdom, and they carry forward her legacy of kindness and integrity. A cherished sister, Shirley shared a close bond with her siblings, Carol (Everold) and Christine. Their connection was one of mutual support and love, a testament to the strong family ties that Shirley valued dearly. Shirley's role as a grandmother brought her immense joy. She was a doting grandmother to Donovan and Reilly, who adored her stories, laughter, and the warmth only a grandmother could provide. Her legacy will continue through the lives of her grandchildren, who will forever remember her loving embrace and the light she brought into their lives. Throughout her life, Shirley was known for her generosity. She was the kind of person who would offer a helping hand without hesitation and bring comfort to those in need. Her acts of kindness reached far and wide, leaving a lasting impact on those fortunate enough to have crossed her path. As we bid farewell to Shirley, we celebrate a life well-lived and a spirit that will eternally remain in our hearts. Her memory will be cherished by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Though she is no longer with us, her legacy of love, kindness, and generosity will continue to inspire and guide us. A private family service will be held to honor Shirley's life, reflecting the intimate and loving nature she cherished. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to a charity of your choice, in honor of Shirley's lifelong commitment to helping others. Rest in peace, dear Shirley. Your light will shine brightly in our hearts forever.
