Shirley Ann Tilley
June 11, 1935 — October 16, 2026
Shirley Ann Tilley, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, peacefully passed away on October 16, 2026, at the age of 91. Born on June 11, 1935, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Shirley was the cherished daughter of John and Grace Marshall.
A devoted wife, Shirley married Austin Tilley, while still in High School. Together they built a life filled with love and joy. Austin’s service in the Navy did not hinder their dreams of family life. The couple settled in Philadelphia when Austin’s Navy service was completed where they cultivated a warm and nurturing home. Their house was a haven of laughter and love, especially during the holidays and summer retreats to the shore, moments that became treasured traditions and grew more special as their family expanded.
Shirley was predeceased by her loving husband, Austin, and her beautiful granddaughter, Kelly Ann Martz. She is survived by her brother Jack Marshall; her four children and their spouses: Sheryl and George Martz; Linda and Peter Tucci, Sr.; Scott and Beatrice Tilley, and Kenneth Tilley. Shirley's legacy flourishes in the lives of her nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren, who affectionately called her GiGi.
A dedicated member of the Wissinoming United Methodist Church, Shirley was an active participant in her congregation. Her faith and commitment to her community were steadfast, and she touched many lives through her kindness and service.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at BrightView Assisted Living in Mt. Laurel for the exceptional care and compassion they provided to Shirley in her final years. Their dedication and support were deeply appreciated by Shirley and her family.
Shirley Ann Tilley will be remembered for her unwavering love, her vibrant spirit, and the indelible mark she left on everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be dearly missed but forever celebrated by her family and friends.
