Shilpa Siby

In loving memory, we celebrate the life of Shilpa Siby, born on August 10, 1988, in the beautiful state of Kerala, India. Shilpa peacefully departed this world on June 24, 2026, at the age of 37, after a courageous battle with illness. Her unwavering spirit and enduring strength in the face of adversity were a testament to her character and will be remembered by all who knew her. Shilpa was the cherished daughter of the late Siby Cherian and Jessy Siby. She shared a beautiful life with her beloved husband, Joseph Zachariah, whom she married in 2013. Though Joseph preceded her in death, their union was one of love, laughter, and mutual respect—a partnership that inspired everyone around them. Shilpa’s academic journey was marked by dedication and excellence. She graduated from high school in Kerala and went on to pursue her higher education with zeal. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Marian College Kuttikanam and completed her master’s degree at Amal Jyothi College, Kanjirappally. Her thirst for knowledge and passion for learning led her to a fulfilling career as a lecturer at Assumption College, Changanacherry. In her role, Shilpa was more than an educator; she was a mentor and a guide, imbuing her students with the same enthusiasm for learning that she herself possessed. Those who knew Shilpa will remember her for her quick wit and warm, inviting smile that could light up the darkest of rooms. Her humor and kindness touched the hearts of many, leaving an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing her. Shilpa’s spirit was vibrant and her laughter infectious, traits that will be sorely missed but fondly remembered by her family, friends, and students. A service to honor Shilpa’s life will be held on July 1, 2026, at 8:00 AM at St. Thomas Syro Malabar Church. It is a time for family and friends to come together, share their memories, and celebrate the life of a remarkable woman who gave so much to the world in her short time here. Though Shilpa has left this mortal realm, her legacy lives on in the hearts of those she touched. Her journey was one filled with love, wisdom, and grace, and her memory will forever be cherished by those who were fortunate enough to be part of her life. In this time of sorrow, let us find comfort in the joy and love Shilpa brought into our lives. May her soul rest in eternal peace.
