In Loving Memory of Sherry Litson December 11, 1952 – June 20, 2026 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Sherry Litson, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, who passed away on June 20, 2026. Born on December 11, 1952, in Enid, Oklahoma, Sherry was the cherished daughter of Doris Lynch Thompson Straw and John Thompson. They instilled in her the kindness, generosity, and compassion that became the foundation of her life. She was a source of love, strength, and unwavering support to everyone fortunate enough to know her. Sherry is survived by her loving children, Christopher Litson and Cassandra Litson (Partner Amber Jones). She was a proud and devoted Nana to her five grandchildren: Alexis Estrada (Husband Alex Estrada), Skyler Litson, Cayden Litson, Jonathan Aguilar (Fiancé Whitney Harris), and Jordan Litson (Wife Brittney Litson). She also leaves behind her cherished great-grandson, Grayson Litson. Being "Nana" was one of Sherry's greatest joys. She helped raise her grandsons and loved each of her grandchildren with all her heart. Her family was the center of her world, and she made sure they always knew how deeply they were loved. Sherry loved being surrounded by family and friends. Whether she was cooking, watching one of her favorite weird documentaries, or sharing stories from "back in the day," she had a way of making every moment special. Her laughter, sense of humor, and gift for storytelling brought people together and created memories that will be treasured forever. She also enjoyed life's simple pleasures—a cold Dr Pepper, a little vodka, and spending time with the people she loved. Those who knew Sherry knew she had a big heart, loved deeply, and was always ready to enjoy life with the people who mattered most. Although her passing leaves an immeasurable void, her love and spirit will continue to live on through her family and everyone whose life she touched. Her stories will continue to be told, her laughter remembered, and her legacy of love carried forward for generations to come. A celebration of Sherry's life will be held on Friday, August 7, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Alternatives Cremation and Funeral Services, 2813 NW 122nd Street, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73120. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance of a truly remarkable woman whose kindness and love enriched so many lives. Sherry was one of a kind. She will be deeply missed, but her love, the memories she created, and the legacy she leaves behind will remain in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her forever.

Poem / Prayer

Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free, I took His hand when I heard Him call, I turned my back and left it all. I could not stay another day, To laugh, to love, to work, to play. Tasks left undone must stay that way, I found that peace at the close of day. If my parting has left a void, Then fill it with remembered joy. A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss, Ah, yes, these things I too will miss. Be not burdened with times of sorrow, I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow. My life's been full, I savored much, Good friends, good times, a loved one's touch. Perhaps my time seemed all too brief, Don't lengthen it now with undue grief. Lift up your hearts and peace to thee, God wanted me now; He set me free.
