Sherry Litson

December 11, 1952 — June 20, 2026

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Sherry Litson, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, who left this world on June 20, 2026. Born on December 11, 1952, in Enid, Oklahoma, Sherry was a beacon of warmth and joy to all who knew her. Her life was a testament to love, laughter, and the bonds of family, which she cherished above all. Sherry was the daughter of Doris Lynch Thompson and John Thompson, who instilled in her the values of kindness and generosity. These values became the foundation of her life, as she became a pillar of support and love for her family. Sherry was devoted to her two children, Christopher Litson and Cassandra Litson(Partner Amber Jones) who survive her and carry forth her legacy of love. Her compassion extended to her five grandchildren—Alexis Estrada (husband Alex Estrada), Skyler Litson, Cayden Litson, Jonathan Aguilar, and Jordan Litson (wife Brittney Litson)—and her great-grandson, Grayson Litson. Sherry was affectionately known as "Nana," a role she embraced with unparalleled enthusiasm and warmth. She was instrumental in the upbringing of her grandsons, providing them with the love and guidance only a grandmother could offer. Those who knew Sherry will fondly remember her for her zest for life. She relished the simple pleasures, whether it was savoring a Dr Pepper, enjoying a splash of vodka, or gathering her loved ones for evenings filled with stories and laughter. Sherry's home was a haven where stories flowed as freely as the laughter. She delighted in recounting tales from "back in the day," captivating her audience with her unique wit and charm. Sherry's passing leaves a void that words cannot fill, yet her spirit lives on in the hearts of those she touched. Her family will honor her memory by continuing to share her stories, laugh at the cherished moments, and carry forward her legacy of love. A service to celebrate Sherry's life will be held on August 7, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Alternatives Cremation and Funeral Services, located at 2813 NW 122nd St, Oklahoma City, OK 73120. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance of a remarkable woman whose presence enriched the lives of so many. Sherry was one of a kind. She was the best Nana, and anyone who knew her knew how much she loved her family and friends. She loved being around the people she cared about and was happiest when everyone was together. She was always up for anything — cooking, watching weird documentaries, or sitting around telling us stories from back in the day. Those conversations, laughs, and simple moments are the memories we will miss the most. Sherry had a big heart and loved deeply. She helped raise her two grandsons and was always there with love, support, and the kind of care only Nana could give. Her family meant everything to her, and she made sure we always knew how much we were loved. She had her favorites too — a good Dr Pepper, a little vodka, and a good time with the people she loved. Those little things were part of what made her Sherry. We are so sad that she is gone, but we will keep her memory alive by telling her stories, laughing about the moments we shared, and carrying the love she gave us with us always. Sherry is survived by her two children, five grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. She will be deeply missed by all of us who were lucky enough to love her. Sherry Litson will be deeply missed, yet her love and legacy will remain with us forever.
