In Loving Memory

Sherry Hillier
February 22, 1974 — April 21, 2026
With profound sadness, we share the passing of Sherry Hillier (née Peddle), who left this world on April 21, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer. Sherry passed away peacefully in the presence of her devoted husband, Paul, at the age of 52. Born on February 22, 1974, in St. Johns, NL, Sherry lived a life full of love, laughter, and unwavering devotion to her family and friends.
The daughter of Jim and Anne Peddle, Sherry was deeply loved and cherished from the moment she entered this world. Predeceased by her father, Jim, Sherry carried forward his legacy of kindness and strength. Her mother, Anne, and her brother, Stephen, survive her, along with her beloved husband of 25 years, Paul, her children Rhya and Luke, and her precious granddaughter, Kaia.
Sherry was a woman whose heart was as expansive as her smile, a smile that illuminated every room she entered and left a lasting impression on everyone she met. Known for her positivity and uplifting spirit, Sherry was a beacon of hope and joy, inspiring those around her with her courage and resilience, even in the face of adversity.
Family was Sherry's greatest passion, and she always made time for "the core four," as she affectionately called her immediate family. Her children Rhya and Luke were the center of her universe, and she took immense pride in being a loving and devoted mother. Sherry was also a doting grandmother to Kaia, cherishing every moment spent with her and creating memories that will be treasured forever.
An adventurous spirit at heart, Sherry found joy in the simple pleasures of life, particularly during the fall when she would go hiking, embracing the beauty of nature with her loved ones. Christmas was another special time for Sherry, a season she celebrated with warmth and enthusiasm, filling her home with love, laughter, and the spirit of togetherness.
Sherry's life was a testament to the power of love and the strength of the human spirit. She faced her illness with grace and bravery, leaving behind a legacy of hope and resilience that will forever be remembered by all who knew her.
In honoring Sherry's wishes, a private funeral ceremony will be held for her family and close friends. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks for donations to be made in Sherry's memory to Cancer Care Manitoba (https://www.cancercarefdn.mb.ca/ways-to-give/). Your generosity will help support the ongoing fight against cancer and provide hope to countless others.
Sherry Hillier will be deeply missed but never forgotten. Her life was a gift to all who knew her, and her legacy of love and laughter will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and friends. May she rest in peace, embraced by the love she so freely gave.
