September 18, 1948 — October 28, 2026

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Sherry Franklin Biggs, who departed this world peacefully at home on October 28, 2026, after an extended illness. A cherished soul, Sherry was born on September 18, 1948, in the welcoming town of Auburn, Alabama. Her life was one of warmth, love, and dedication, both to her family and her community. Sherry was the beloved daughter of the late Andrew Douglas Franklin and Jewel Butler Franklin. She was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 40 years, Robert Biggs, and her brothers, Andy, Kenneth, Craig, and Tim Franklin. Though she has left this earthly realm, her spirit continues to shine brightly through the many lives she touched. A resident of Mobile, Alabama, Sherry was a dedicated employee of Emery Airfreight, where she worked with commitment and care for many years. Beyond her professional life, Sherry found immense joy in the simple pleasures of life, especially those shared with her family. She was an avid deer hunter and angler, often spending tranquil days outdoors with her husband, Robert, and their extended family. Family gatherings were a highlight for Sherry, where her laughter and love were always abundant. Sherry's heart was expansive and filled with love, not just for her family, but also for her cherished Westie, Tator, who was like a child to her. Her nurturing spirit and unwavering loyalty were qualities that endeared her to all who knew her. Sherry is survived by her loving brothers, Allan and Terry Franklin (Debbie), and her dear sisters, Diane (Steve) and Karen (Randy). She leaves behind cherished memories with her nieces, Alana Joyner, Erica Holmes, and Holley McGlaun, and her nephews, Cade Tucker, Russell Franklin, and Marshall McGlaun. Her legacy continues through her many great-grand nieces and nephews, who will always remember her fondly. A celebration of Sherry's life will be held on November 7, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Serenity Gardens, located at 86910 Pascagoula Rd., Theodore, AL 36582. While Sherry's presence will be deeply missed, her memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved her. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Sherry's memory to a charity of choice that aligns with her values and passions. Though she is no longer with us, Sherry's life story and the love she shared will continue to inspire and bring comfort to all who were fortunate enough to know her. May she rest in eternal peace.
