Sherrie Stubbs

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Sherrie Stubbs, a beloved friend, colleague, and family member, who left this world peacefully on July 11, 2026, at St. Catherine’s Hospice care in Hialeah Gardens, Florida. Sherrie faced her battle with pancreatic cancer with remarkable courage and grace, surrounded by love and compassion until her final moments. Born on May 8, 1956, in Birmingham, Alabama, Sherrie's journey through life was marked by her warmth, humor, and dedication. She was the cherished daughter of her late parents Wayne and Sybil Stubbs and sister to her beloved brother Terry Stubbs, who predeceased her. Although Sherrie and her brother were the only children in their family and her parents were both an only child, her life was enriched by the many friendships she formed and her deep sense of community. Sherrie's educational journey took her through Hialeah High School, where she graduated in 1974 and began her professional career at Eagle Army and Navy Store, but it was at her next job at CoreLogic where Sherrie found her professional home and family. Her dedication and work ethic shone brightly during her 36-year tenure at CoreLogic, a company that underwent several transformations from TRW-REDI, First American CoreLogic. CoreLogic to its current name, Cotality. Throughout her career, Sherrie was a pillar of support and creativity, known for her exceptional skills in creating PowerPoint presentations, organizing employee activities, and volunteering for community service. Her manager, colleague and friend, Mickey Wood, fondly remembers her as not only a model employee but also a dear friend who brought joy and camaraderie into the workplace. Her faith was an integral part of her life, and she was an active member of the North Hialeah Baptist Church where she found solace and strength. Sherrie had a knack for making others feel welcome, whether at work, with friends, or at church. Her quick wit and radiant smile were her trademarks, and she was always ready to lend a helping hand, often volunteering without being asked. Photography was one of Sherrie's passions, capturing the essence of events at work and high school reunions, and sharing these memories with her coworkers and friends. In high school, Sherrie was part of the bowling team and supported them in many team wins. Sherrie's friends extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at St. Catherine’s Hospice for their compassionate care during her final days. A special thanks is offered to Susie Schlernitzauer for her dedication to Sherrie's healthcare and being her advocate through her final days. In addition thanks to Susan Montes, Kim Rivas, Sherrie Baxley, Cindy and Ed DePrado, Judy and Mike Apicerno, Janice Pendley, Mickey Wood and all her friends who visited and provided love and support. In lieu of flowers, her friends suggest donations to a charity of your choice in Sherrie's memory. Her spirit will live on through the kindness and generosity she showed to all who crossed her path. There will be no local services as Sherrie's body will be flown to Alabama where she will be buried in her family plot alongside her mother, father and brother. A local celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date. Sherrie Stubbs will be deeply missed, but her legacy of love, laughter, and service to others will continue to inspire those who had the privilege of knowing her. May her soul rest in eternal peace.
