Shelley Jane Bryant

November 3, 1951 — February 25, 2026

The family of Shelley Jane Bryant, with heavy hearts but fond memories, announces her peaceful passing on February 25, 2026, at the age of 74. Born on November 3, 1951, in the charming town of Gull Lake, Saskatchewan, Shelley was a beacon of warmth and kindness. She was the cherished daughter of Russell and Miriam Bryant, who predeceased her and undoubtedly welcomed her with open arms. Shelley’s journey began with early years spent attending school at Carmichael, before she transitioned to riding a school bus to Gull Lake High School, where she graduated. Her love for her hometown never wavered, a place where she not only grew academically but also planted the seeds of lifelong friendships and community bonds. Her career started with a familiar smile and a kind word, waitressing in Tompkins and Gull Lake, before she embarked on a fulfilling and dedicated career with the Co-op in Gull Lake. Shelley's work ethic and genuine care for others made her an invaluable member of the workplace and the community. Shelley was an enthusiastic member of the local Kinettes and the Gull Lake Curling Club, organizations that benefited greatly from her energy and commitment. Her love for curling was infectious, and she was a familiar face at the rink, where she spent many winters cheering on friends and sharing in their victories and defeats. Her passion for sports extended beyond curling; Shelley was an avid golfer and a devoted fan of various sports, always ready to celebrate victories and commiserate losses. Her love for the outdoors was evident in the time she spent nurturing her yard and gardens, often found with a feline friend or two by her side, who were very much her family. Shelley’s legacy is one of selflessness and community spirit. She was always willing to lend a helping hand, to volunteer where needed, and to engage with her neighbors and friends. Her life was a testament to the power of community, and she treated everyone as an extension of her family. Shelley is survived by her sister Laurie Lloyd and husband Daymond. Their son Derek LLoyd (Tiffany), children Ezra, Eric, Ethan, Elisabeth. Their daughter Lacey Rogers (Mike), daughter Grace. She is also survived by her brother Rod Bryant, his daughter Josie, and her children, Tristyn, Addison, Avery, Rowan, and Aurora. She also has countless cousins spanning Western Canada and the USA. Her family was her pride and joy, and their love for her is as deep as their gratitude for having had her in their lives. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Gull Lake Curling Club or the Meadowdale Golf Club, places that held a special place in Shelley’s heart. The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to all friends and family for the outpouring of calls and messages during this time. They also express their gratitude to the Swift Current Funeral Home for their support and care. A Celebration of Life will be announced in the near future, where all are welcome to join in remembering and honoring the remarkable life of Shelley Jane Bryant. Shelley’s spirit will forever echo in the laughter shared, the gardens nurtured, and the games played in the community she loved so dearly. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten, as her legacy continues to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her.
