In loving memory of Shelia Warren Cagle, who departed this world unexpectedly, yet peacefully, on April 15, 2026. Born on November 4, 1961, in the vibrant city of St. Louis, MO, Shelia graced this world with her presence for 64 beautiful years. Her life was a testament to kindness, resilience, and a boundless love that touched everyone she encountered. Shelia was the beloved daughter of Lena Sampson and Benard Pitts, and she was cherished by her stepfather, James Ervin. She grew up surrounded by a loving family, which included her siblings Lena Sampson Halfacre, Carnelions Junior Warren, Brenda Warren, David Warren, Charles Vaughn, and Tyrous Vaughn. From a young age, Shelia's caring nature and willingness to help others were evident to all who knew her. A proud graduate of Hughes Quinn Rock High School, Shelia furthered her education and dedicated her life to caring for others as a Certified Nursing Assistant. Her career was a reflection of her compassionate heart and her desire to make a positive difference in the lives of those she cared for. Shelia's greatest joys were her family and the cherished moments spent with them. She was a devoted wife to Louis Cagle and a loving mother to Shylitta Richarson, Lashell Marin, and Shelia Cagle. Her family was the center of her world, and she took immense pride in her nine grandchildren: Ashley Nickerson, Booker T Grisby, Jane Grisby, Kodi Willis, Kemondrea Garner, Antwoine Williams, Kyle Moore, Kemar, and Kendall Martin. Her legacy of love continues through her five great-grandchildren, who will grow up hearing stories of her warmth and generosity. Her family describes her as kind-hearted and always willing to help, qualities that endeared her to everyone she met. Whether it was a simple act of kindness or a grand gesture of support, Shelia's love was a guiding force in her community. A memorial service to celebrate Shelia's life will be held on May 2, 2026, at 10:00 AM at New Life Community Church, located at 1919 State St, East Saint Louis, IL 62205. Family and friends are invited to gather and honor the remarkable life of a woman who gave so much of herself to those she loved. As we reflect on her fulfilling life, filled with twists and turns, we find comfort in her own words, "Wop, Wop."
