In loving memory, we celebrate the beautiful life of Sheila Beatrice Dailey(Williams), who peacefully passed away on June 2, 2026, after a courageous battle with illness. Born on April 27, 1949, in Far Rockaway, New York, Sheila was a beacon of love, strength, and resilience. She graced this world for 77 years, leaving an indelible mark on everyone she encountered. Sheila was the cherished daughter of the late Grant Stanley Dailey and Mamie Elizabeth Davis, who undoubtedly welcomed her into their embrace in the afterlife. Her legacy of kindness and warmth is carried forward by her beloved children: Sheila "aka" Penny Flynn, Janice (Adrian) Lester, Derwin "aka" Butchie, Christine, David (Shemicka), and Jennifer. Her family, along with her 15 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren, will forever hold her memory close, cherishing the love she selflessly shared. Sheila's life was enriched by her marriages, first to Derwin Walker Spencer, with whom she shared the joy of raising their six children, and later to Sherman Williams Education was a cornerstone of Sheila's life. A proud alumna of Roosevelt High School in Roosevelt, Long Island, she furthered her studies at Hofstra University in Uniondale, Long Island, earning a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work. Her academic achievements were a testament to her dedication and passion for helping others. Professionally, Sheila devoted her life to service, working with the NYS Department of Parole as a parole service assistant. Her compassionate nature and unwavering commitment made a lasting impact on those she served. A devoted member of The Greater Sessions Cathedral, Sheila was deeply involved in her community. She generously shared her talents teaching arts and crafts at the Rosa Park Senior Center in Roosevelt Long Island, bringing joy and creativity to the lives of many. Sheila's heart was as expansive as her talents. A skilled crocheter, she found joy in creating beautiful pieces for her loved ones. Her compassion extended beyond her family, as she tirelessly worked to help the homeless, providing essential goods to those in need. Her selflessness and dedication to service were just a few of her countless commendable qualities. Sheila Beatrice Dailey (Williams) will forever be remembered for her boundless love, her unwavering strength, and her gentle spirit. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of her family and community, as we strive to emulate her grace and kindness in our own lives. May her soul rest in eternal peace.
