Born on October 1, 1949, in the vibrant city of Chicago, Illinois, Sheila was the beloved daughter of Mickey Allen and Julien Nelson. She grew up with a boundless spirit and a zest for life that she carried with her through the years. Sheila was predeceased by her parents and her dear brother, Stephan Nelson, whom she lovingly remembered throughout her life. Sheila’s life was a tapestry woven with love, laughter, and an unwavering dedication to her family. Her daughter, Ariana Litchford, and her grandchildren, Moses and Zoe Litchford, were the center of her world. Sheila's legacy of kindness, resilience, and warmth will continue to live on through them. Her siblings, Norman, Michael, and Fillmore Nelson, along with her sister, Sparkle Adams, nieces, and nephew, will forever cherish the memories they shared with her. Sheila was a woman of many talents and interests. She found immense joy in the simple pleasures of life, such as reading, listening to music, and watching TV and movies. Her crochet creations were works of love, each stitch a testament to her patience and creativity. Sheila had a special passion for baking, especially during the holiday season when she delighted her family with her famous Christmas cookies. Her kitchen was often filled with the sweet aromas of her culinary masterpieces, leaving a lasting imprint of warmth and comfort. To honor Sheila's life and her generous spirit, donations may be made to her beloved daughter, Ariana. The family also wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Cee Cee, Sharee, and Lorraine at Accolade at Savoy for their kindness, friendship, and unwavering support of "Miss Sheila" during her time there.
