With profound sadness, we announce the peaceful passing of Shawn S. Rowell, who left this world in the early morning of July 16th, 2026 at their home in the evening hours, at the age of 39. Born on December 10, 1986, in Manchester, New Hampshire, Shawn was a cherished son, brother, and friend whose life was marked by love, resilience, and passion. But is in a better place now with his Father in Heaven. Shawn was welcomed into this world by his late father, Forest A. Rowell Sr., and his loving mother, Gail L. Rowell. Growing up in Manchester, he developed a lifelong fascination with cars, a passion he shared with his father, earning him the affectionate title of "gearhead." He pursued his interest in automobiles as a car customizer, a hobby that brought him great joy and satisfaction. Despite facing health challenges throughout his life, Shawn's determination and dedication to his well-being were unwavering. With the support of his doctors and family, he worked diligently to overcome these obstacles. In recent times, he sought therapy to grow and become the best version of himself, motivated by his enduring love for his ex-fiancée and partner of 16 years, Ashley Marie Silva. Shawn's compassionate spirit and kind heart were evident to all who knew him. He was a man who embraced life with enthusiasm, whether it was spending time with Ashley, enjoying beach outings, indulging in video games, or trading HotWheels. His love for animals was constant, and he cherished every moment spent with family pets. His passing, attributed to heartache and emotional distress, has left a void in the lives of those who knew him. Shawn is survived by his mother, Gail L. Rowell; his brothers, Eric W. Rowell and Forest A. Rowell Jr.; his aunt and uncle, Nancy and Kenneth Ferry of Kissimmee, Florida; and his beloved friends and rekindled connections. Ashley Marie Silva, his best friend and significant other, remains in the hearts of all who cherished their enduring bond. A funeral service to honor Shawn's life will be held at Phaneuf's Funeral Home and Crematorium, located at 243 Hanover Street, Manchester, New Hampshire, on July 17, 2026. Viewing will begin at 8:00 a.m., with an open casket service for friends, family, and loved ones. In accordance with his wishes, Shawn will be cremated on July 21. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly suggests donations be made to a charity of choice, honoring Shawn's generous spirit. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Phaneuf's Funeral Home and Crematorium for their support and care during this difficult time. Shawn's legacy is one of love, loyalty, and kindness. His memory will be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him. As he joins his father in eternal rest, those left behind will forever hold him close in their hearts.
