It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Sharon Steven, a beloved matriarch, compassionate soul, and joyful spirit, who left this world on February 23, 2026, after courageously battling cancer. Sharon passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of her family, leaving a legacy of warmth, kindness, and resilience that will continue to inspire those who knew her. Sharon was born on July 30, 1946, in the vibrant town of Kingston, Jamaica, to her loving parents, Jerry Steven and Morgrett Brown Steven. From a young age, Sharon radiated a joyous energy and a deep love for family, qualities that became the cornerstone of her life. Her laughter could light up a room, and her presence brought comfort and happiness to all who were fortunate enough to know her. Sharon dedicated much of her life to her work as a house cleaner, where she not only cared for homes but also touched lives with her kindness and unwavering dedication. Her strong work ethic and attention to detail were a testament to her character and values. A devoted mother, Sharon raised her son, Everton Ferguson, with boundless love and strength, instilling in him the same values that defined her own life. She was a cherished grandmother to Nicholas Ferguson and Ryan Turner, and she reveled in the joy of watching her family grow, including her four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, who were the light of her life. Sharon was a proud member of the Exodus Funeral Service, where she found a community that shared her dedication to helping others in times of need. Her jovial nature and love for cooking brought people together, creating cherished memories around her table, filled with laughter and delicious meals. Though predeceased by her family members, Sharon's spirit continues to live on through her surviving family, who will forever hold her close in their hearts. A service celebrating Sharon's life and legacy will be held on April 5, 2026, at 10:00 AM at the Church of God Deliverance Center, located in Castleton, St. Mary. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has come to honor Sharon, offering support and love during this difficult time. As we gather to say farewell, let us remember Sharon Steven as a beacon of love and joy, whose compassionate heart and infectious laughter will forever echo in the memories of those she touched. May her soul rest in eternal peace. Special Message from the Family: Thank you to everyone who came to wish Sharon farewell.
