Sharon Perry
November 6, 1942 — October 15, 2026
Sharon Perry, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully at her home on October 15, 2026. Born on November 6, 1942, in Salt Lake City, Utah, Sharon was the cherished daughter of Ross Leon Miner and Arlean Foy Miner. She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Duane Elton Perry, her son, Dallin John Perry, and her dear parents.
Sharon and Duane shared a beautiful marriage for 58 years, united on September 10, 1964. Their union was a testament to enduring love and companionship, a partnership that was as enriching as it was steadfast. Together, they built a family that remains her proudest legacy.
Sharon is lovingly remembered by her surviving children: Charron Barney (Glen), Krystl March (Kirk), David Perry (Andrea), Joshua Perry (Stacey), Meggan Dunbar (Mike), Tia Peterson (Cameron), Shayla Attebury (Richie), and Dwight Perry (Heather). She leaves behind the joy of 24 grandchildren, each of whom she adored and inspired.
A dedicated educator, Sharon graduated from Brigham Young University in 1966 with a degree in Elementary Education. She spent 17 fulfilling years teaching young minds in the Bonneville School District #93, nurturing first, second, and third graders at Hillview and Ammon Elementary Schools. Her passion for teaching was matched by her commitment to her faith, as an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Sharon contributed generously to the church community, serving in various roles including Primary, Young Women's, and as Relief Society President. Her creativity shone through in ward plays, road shows, and musicals, where her joyful spirit was infectious.
Sharon's hands were rarely still; she was a masterful seamstress who lovingly crafted garments for her children and sewed her daughters' wedding dresses. Her knitting needles clicked away in anticipation of each new grandchild, who were warmly welcomed with a specially knitted shawl. Sharon's love of adventure took her across all 50 states, often with her family in tow on memorable road trips, and later, on cruises with Duane.
Beyond her talents and accomplishments, Sharon will be remembered for her joyful heart and playful nature. Whether dressing up for Halloween parties, playing the clown in roadshows, or braving rollercoasters with her children, Sharon embraced life with gusto. Her kitchen was a haven for baking and crafting with her grandchildren, teaching them skills as timeless as preserving and canning.
Her family invites those who wish to honor Sharon's memory to contribute to a charity of their choice, reflecting her generous spirit and commitment to making the world a better place.
Sharon Perry's life was a tapestry of love, laughter, and learning. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of those she touched, a beacon of kindness and joy. She will be dearly missed but never forgotten.
