In Loving Memory

Sharon Lynn Doyle
November 4, 1944 — May 1, 2026
It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the peaceful passing of Sharon Lynn Doyle on May 1, 2026, with her beloved husband, Harry, by her side. Born on November 4, 1944, in Detroit, Michigan, Sharon was a cherished daughter of the late William R. (Ralf) and Eleanor Pritchard. Her life was a testament to love, family, and community, and she leaves behind a legacy that will be cherished by all who knew her.
Sharon grew up in a close-knit family in Detroit, alongside her late siblings, Richard T. Pritchard and Phyllis Coppola. She graduated from Mercy Catholic High School in 1962, where she formed lifelong friendships and honed her love for learning—a passion she carried throughout her life. After high school, she worked at Michigan Bell, where she demonstrated her dedication and strong work ethic.
On September 9, 1966, Sharon married the love of her life, Harry G. Doyle, at Christ the King Catholic Church in Detroit. Together, they built a beautiful life filled with love, laughter, and shared adventures. Their nearly 60-year marriage was blessed with three sons: Michael T. Doyle (Susan), Christopher A. Doyle, and Scott W. Doyle (Sherry), who were the pride and joy of Sharon's life.
As a devoted mother, Sharon's career took a pause to nurture and raise her children. Once her sons were older, she returned to the workforce, dedicating 15 years to the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, where she was admired for her diligence and kindness.
Sharon's zest for life was evident in her many passions. A voracious reader, she could always be found with a book on her nightstand, ready to be whisked away into another world. She adored celebrating birthdays and holidays with her family, and her culinary talents were legendary. Thanksgiving was incomplete without her delicious stuffing and pie, Christmas was graced by her signature lemon meringue pies, and she hosted Easter brunches with warmth and grace.
Her legacy is lovingly carried on by her six grandchildren: Zachary M. Doyle (Renee), Alexander R. Doyle, Ryan P. Doyle, Nicholas W. Doyle, Anna C. Schembri, and Joseph B. Schembri Jr. Sharon's love for them was boundless, and she took immense pride in their accomplishments and adventures.
A funeral service to honor Sharon's life will be held at St. Thomas a'Becket Catholic Church, located at 555 S. Lilley Road, Canton, MI 48188. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Angela Hospice, an organization close to Sharon's heart, in her memory. Donations can be made at Angela Hospice Donations.
Sharon Lynn Doyle was a beacon of love, compassion, and strength. Her kindness and warmth touched the lives of all who knew her. While we mourn her passing, we celebrate the beautiful life she led and take comfort in the memories she leaves behind. Sharon will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege to know her.
