It is with heavy hearts yet deep gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the passing of Sharon Langley Lanthier, who left us peacefully at her home on March 11, 2026, at the age of 76. Born on January 17, 1950, Sharon graced the world with her warmth, creativity, and unwavering love.
Sharon was the beloved daughter of the late Wilford and Shirley Langley and was predeceased by her cherished husband, Dennis Lanthier. Her life was also marked by the loss of her siblings—Carl Langley, Helena Langley Blanchette, Roland Langley, and Rose Langley McKissack—and her dear granddaughter, Chloe Lanthier. Despite these profound losses, Sharon's spirit remained resilient and nurturing.
A devoted mother, Sharon is survived by her children, who were the pride and joy of her life: Daniel Lanthier, Rebecca and Shelly Hopkins, Jason and Katie Lanthier, and Cory and Connie Lanthier. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren—Nick, Faith, Caleb, Kelsie, Victoria, Anthony, Desiree and Drew Parker, Casey, Kassidy, Kaleigh Alaniz, and Tyler—who will forever cherish her memory. Sharon's love also extended to her great-grandchildren, Shyann Parker, Dakota Parker, and Paisley, whose lives she enriched with her boundless affection.
Sharon's entrepreneurial spirit shone brightly through her ceramic shop, The Family Slip Pit, where she not only crafted beautiful pieces but also fostered a community of creativity and friendship. Her passion for ceramics and arts and crafts was infectious, and she found joy in teaching others, sharing her skills and love for art with all who wished to learn.
A woman of deep faith, Sharon was a devoted Carmelite, finding solace and strength in her spiritual community. Her kindness and generosity knew no bounds, as demonstrated by her dedicated volunteering at the senior center, where she brought smiles and companionship to many.
Sharon's life was a testament to the power of love and family. She cherished every moment spent visiting with loved ones, creating memories that will be treasured forever. Her gentle spirit and welcoming heart touched all who knew her, leaving an indelible mark on our lives.
As we bid farewell to Sharon, we celebrate her incredible journey and the love she shared so freely. She will be dearly missed, yet her legacy of kindness, creativity, and family devotion will continue to inspire us all.
A private family service will be held to honor Sharon's life and legacy. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made in Sharon's memory to a charity of your choice, reflecting her compassionate and giving nature.
