Sharon Hurst
February 9, 1961 — July 25, 2026
We are heartbroken to announce the peaceful passing of Sharon Hurst, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Sharon left this world on July 25, 2026, at the age of 65, in the comfort of her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on February 9, 1961, in Oklahoma City, where she spent much of her life creating lasting memories and touching the hearts of everyone she encountered.
Sharon was the cherished daughter of Dock and Mary Ritter, who preceded her in death. She was also predeceased by her brother, James Ritter; sister, Merle Hurst; and her dear niece, Latasha Hudson. Despite these profound losses, Sharon's life was filled with love, laughter, and an unwavering dedication to her family and friends.
A devoted wife, Sharon shared a beautiful journey of love and companionship with her husband, Brian Hurst. Their marriage was a testament to enduring love and mutual respect that inspired those around them. Sharon was a nurturing and loving mother to William and Mindy Hamilton, and Maegan and Lisy Hurst, who carry forward her legacy of kindness and compassion.
Sharon's heart was further filled with joy by her ten grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, who brought endless happiness into her life. Each of them held a special place in her heart, and she took immense pride in their accomplishments and growth.
Her siblings, Diesta Salazar and Glenda Mooney, along with her brothers Harold (Trish) Ritter, Lary (Sharon) Ritter, Danny (Sandy) Ritter, and Keith Ritter, were an integral part of her life. Their bonds were strong, filled with shared memories and the comfort of knowing they would always be there for one another.
Sharon's life will be celebrated in a service on July 31, 2026, at 2:00 PM, at John Ireland in Moore, Oklahoma. We invite all who knew and loved Sharon to join us in paying tribute to her remarkable life and the joy she brought to so many.
