Born on October 19, 1945, in Los Angeles, California, Sharon was the cherished daughter of William Francis and Ruth Marion Murphy. Sharon grew up in a close-knit family alongside her siblings, Irene Chandler (predeceased), Vivian Hobbs, and Thomas Murphy. Her childhood was filled with the kind of love and laughter that would become the cornerstone of her own family life. In 1981, Sharon married the love of her life, Charles "Nick" Nichols. Together, they built a beautiful life over their 45 years of marriage, grounded in mutual respect and unwavering support. Sharon was a devoted mother to her three children: Clifford Townsend and his wife Lori, Cindie Geddes, and Stefanie Utz and her husband Gordon. Her family was her greatest joy, and she was a nurturing and loving "Nay Nay" to her six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, who will forever cherish her memory. Sharon was a woman of many passions. She found solace in the pages of books, often losing herself in a good story. Her love for animals was evident in her gentle care and endless compassion. Sharon reveled in the beauty of the outdoors, whether it was through gardening, hiking, or simply enjoying a peaceful afternoon in the sun. Above all, her family was her greatest treasure, and she dedicated much of her life to creating a warm and welcoming home filled with love and laughter. Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, William and Ruth Murphy, her sister Irene Chandler, and her son-in-law Jason Geddes. She leaves behind her devoted husband, Nick, her children and their spouses, her surviving siblings, and her treasured grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Each one carries forward a part of Sharon's legacy and the love she so generously shared.
