Sharon Brennan, a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully at Spring Village in Dover, NH, on June 23, 2026, at the age of 75. Born on May 12, 1951, in Rochester, NH, Sharon was the cherished daughter of the late Arlene Duquette Brennan and Stephen Charles Brennan, II. She was predeceased by her parents and her dear brother, Stephen Charles Brennan, III, leaving behind a legacy of warmth and kindness that will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Sharon's life was marked by a dedication to education and service. After graduating from Spaulding High School in 1968, she pursued her passion for teaching at the University of New Hampshire, where she earned a degree in Elementary Education in 1974. Her thirst for knowledge and adaptability led her to McIntosh College, where she graduated in 1994 with a degree in Computer Programming and Systems Management. For 19 years, Sharon was a valued employee at the Portsmouth Naval Ship Yard, where she brought her intelligence and dedication to her role, earning the respect and admiration of her colleagues. Her career was more than a profession; it was a testament to her commitment to excellence and her unwavering work ethic. Sharon was an active member of St. Ignatius/St. Martin Church in Somersworth, NH, where her presence was a comforting constant. Her beautiful smile was a beacon of warmth and joy to all who knew her. She found joy in walking and volunteering, activities that reflected her love for her community and her nurturing spirit. Sharon leaves behind her beloved nieces, Dallas Brennan Rexer of New York and Avis Brennan Hains of California, along with four great nieces and nephews, who will forever hold her memory in their hearts. Her childhood friend, Jackie Raab, and close friends, Marlene Brooks and Brian VanBenschoten, join her family in mourning her loss and celebrating her life. A service to honor Sharon's life will be held on July 6, 2026, at 10:00 AM at St. Ignatius/St. Martin Church. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Pope Memorial, an organization close to Sharon's heart. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Spring Village for the compassionate care they provided to Sharon, ensuring her final days were filled with dignity and peace. Sharon Brennan's life was a testament to love, service, and community. Though she had no grandchildren or great-grandchildren, her legacy lives on through the countless lives she touched with her kindness and her unwavering spirit. She will be remembered as a beacon of light, whose impact will be felt for generations to come.
