Shannon Renee Little

January 4, 1980 — July 7, 2026

Shannon Renee Little, age 46, of Troutville, VA went to her heavenly home to rest in the arms of her Lord and Savior on July 7th, 2026. Born in Roanoke, VA to Raymond and Alice Hutchison she was the youngest of three children. She grew up in the small town of New Castle, VA. Shannon was a bright light in the lives of everyone who knew her. She never met a stranger with two legs or four. She loved people and she loved animals, especially her two precious fur babies Bella and Stormy. On September 15th, 2015, she married the love of her life and welcomed her son into the world in February 2017. She worked as a special needs aide at Greenfield Elementary School in Botetourt County VA. Shannon spent her time loving and caring for everyone around her. No matter what she was dealing with she always had a smile on her face and could find the humor in every situation. She was a devoted wife and mother, a loving daughter and a fiercely protective little sister. She was a member of the New Zion Church in Waiteville, WVA. Above all, she was a devout Christian who put her faith and trust in God. She lived proudly for the Lord, and it reflected in every aspect of her life. She is preceded in death by her father, Raymond Hutchison: her grandparents Bill and Miriam Porterfield and Lloyd and Claudine Hutchison: her mother-in-law Jeanita Little: various aunts, uncles, and cousins. Left behind to cherish her memory are her husband, Daniel Little and her loving son Tristan. Her mother Alice Hutchison and her father-in-law Henry Little. Her sister Jolie Mckinney (Thomas) and her brother Jeremy Hutchison (Candy). Her sister-in-law Julie Beech and her brother-in-law Thom Little (Autumn). Her nephews, Dylan Hart, Isaiah McKinney, Nathaniel McKinney and Dariun Beech and great nephew, Jordan Dasher. Her nieces Kayla Dudley, Kirsten Hutchison, Gabby Beech and Maddy Little. Special friends Kim Wolfe and Shannon Dudley who were there by her side until she went to her heavenly home. A special thank you to all of the wonderful staff at The Good Samaritans Hospice House for the wonderful, loving care they provided. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please consider making donations to St. Jude Children's Hospital.

The 23rd Psalm

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.
