Shannon Marie Garden

Shannon Marie Garden passed away on March 5, 2026, in Lima, Peru. She was born on May 2, 1996, to David and Tracy Garden and was the oldest sibling to Patrick, Kaleb, Colleen, Molly, Kevin, and Sean. She also leaves behind her beloved grandparents, Thomas and Susan Garden, and many cherished aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends. Shannon had a warm spirit, a love of travel, and a deep appreciation for exploring new cultures. She studied Food and Nutrition/Dietetics at Montana State University-Bozeman. She worked on Big Sky Mountain, in the hospitality industry, and as a craftsman apprentice while living in Bozeman. She also spent time in Minnesota working at Wolf Bay and Vermilion Lodges on Vermilion Lake. Shannon traveled extensively in South America and often spoke excitedly about the kindness of strangers and treasured the many people in her life. She loved being outdoors and found happiness through the joy of hiking and climbing. We will remember Shannon not only for the adventures she embarked upon and the lives she touched, but for her unwavering belief in the goodness of people and the beauty of the world. Let her spirit encourage us to embrace new experiences, cherish our loved ones, and find joy in the simple moments. May she rest in peace, knowing that she was deeply loved and will be dearly missed. Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 7, 2026, from 9 am until time of the Mass at 10 am at Our Lady of Perpetual Help, 1775 Grove Street, Glenview, IL.
