It is with heavy hearts and fond memories that we announce the passing of Shannon E. Kelly, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, who left this world on April 23, 2026, at the age of 58. Born on July 10, 1967, in the sun-kissed city of Pensacola, Florida, Shannon brought warmth and light to all who knew her.
Shannon was the cherished daughter of Robert and Anita Kelly, who instilled in her the values of compassion, kindness, and perseverance. She was predeceased by her dear mother, Anita Kelly, and daughter, Susan Kelly, who both now welcome her with open arms in the afterlife. Shannon is survived by her loving son, Paul Kelly, who was her pride and joy, and her two precious grandchildren, who were the apples of her eye. Her siblings, Kimberly Carson, Katherine Jackson, and Justin Kelly, will forever hold her in their hearts, cherishing the bond they shared and the memories they created together.
A lifelong learner and educator, Shannon graduated from Pensacola Junior College, where she laid the foundation for a career dedicated to teaching and mentoring. Her passion for helping others found its true expression at a sober living facility, where she devoted herself to assisting individuals in rebuilding their lives. Shannon's work was more than a job; it was a calling that she pursued with unwavering dedication and heartfelt commitment.
Shannon was an active and devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she found a community of faith and fellowship. Her spirituality and service to others were evident in every aspect of her life. Known for her quick wit and calming smile, Shannon endeavored to make each day better than the one before, for herself and everyone she encountered. Her presence was a balm to the weary and a beacon of hope to those in need.
As we remember Shannon, we celebrate a life that was rich in love, laughter, and purpose. Her legacy of kindness and her unwavering belief in the goodness of humanity will continue to inspire us all. Though she has left this earthly realm, her spirit remains ever-present in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
A service to honor Shannon's life will be held at a date to be announced, where friends and family will gather to reflect on the impact she made and the joy she brought into our lives. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in her name to the sober living facility where she worked, continuing her mission of helping others find their way.
